Carbon footprint? We raise awareness!

COFERMIN

Issues such as sustainability and the use of resources are currently more important than ever and on everyone’s lips. At COFERMIN, we take our responsibility very seriously, and today I would like to explain transparently how we are addressing the issue of carbon footprint.

MINERALS offers a first-class portfolio of raw materials for the steel, refractory, and foundry industries, as well as related services. The wide selection, especially of Chinese raw materials such as magnesia, Al2O3 minerals, and graphite, complements the COFERMIN Group’s first-class range of minerals and ores.

As a company operating in the field of raw material supply, we face the challenge that our products and processes are inherently energy-intensive. From extraction and processing to transportation, all of these steps have a significant impact on our carbon footprint. We are also aware that the extraction and processing of raw materials are always the focus of critical discussions.

I am convinced that the issue of carbon footprints will become even more important in the future and will influence our choice of suppliers and partners. In the future, our society will no longer focus solely on price and quality, but increasingly on environmental performance. COFERMIN is ready to help shape this path and contribute to a more sustainable supply of raw materials through innovation and cooperation. We see our commitment to sustainability as an opportunity to create ecological and economic value. By focusing on innovative solutions and sustainable practices, we want to minimize our carbon footprint and have a positive impact on the entire industry and ultimately on our planet.

This mindset plays a major role at our company, and every employee is involved in promoting the issue, improving, and setting a good example. We are currently working on a sustainability report on this topic, which we will be happy to present to you in the coming months.
