Why export specialists at the COFERMIN Group don’t have a run-of-the-mill job

|

COFERMIN

Without our export specialists, our demanding day-to-day business in international trade would not be possible. They make an important contribution to our company’s success, because they do not just carry out anonymous sub-steps in order processing – which can feel like assembly line work – without seeing the bigger picture. On the contrary! They are responsible for managing the entire supply chain – from origin to customer.

I particularly like being able to organize my working day individually. At the same time, I appreciate the open atmosphere within the team and the supportive cooperation, where we learn a lot from each other and support each other. It’s simply fun to handle an order from A to Z yourself and enjoy the freedom and trust that comes with working independently.” – Marina Pooch, export specialist at the COFERMIN Group for 8 years

The job of a settlement agent at the COFERMIN Group offers a combination of teamwork, responsibility, independence, and variety, as you will not only be in close contact with your team, but also with our traders, customers, and suppliers. Our processors’ work begins even before the trader has concluded the contract, as they obtain freight rates, check import/export regulations and applicable customs duties, and are responsible for preparing invoices and commercial documents. In addition, they ensure compliance with special customer requirements and occasionally prepare calculations and quotations independently.

Every day brings new challenges that not only keep the work exciting, but also promote continuous learning. The job requires not only expertise and organizational skills, but also enthusiasm for international trade and the ability to constantly develop.

Our processors work in fixed teams in which everyone supports each other and a strong sense of togetherness is cultivated. Even when faced with major global challenges, such as the recent blockade of the Suez Canal, we work hand in hand and pool all our experience and expertise across teams to find the best possible solution together.

As you can see, our export specialists are true all-rounders.

For anyone who loves challenges, enjoys working in a global environment, and doesn’t want to just work through anonymous sub-steps, this job is the right one.

Many people can sell something and land a contract. But not everyone is cut out for managing the smooth execution of the deal and ensuring that the logistics are satisfactory for our customers and that they are happy to continue working with us. That’s why we value our export specialists so much!

We are aware that not everyone has this broad range of expertise, as this technical challenge has already led to uncertainty in many job interviews. Even applicants with many years of experience do not fully master the entire spectrum of foreign trade.

That’s why we have made it our approach to welcome suitable and motivated applicants as new team members to the COFERMIN Group and to allow them to mature step by step into these 360-degree experts through “training on the job.”

Are you also a professional in commercial import/export processing and looking for your next challenge? Would you also like to take on responsibility for the entire supply chain from origin to customer in the future?
