COFERMIN

Finally, the starting signal was given. On June 12, we burned up the pavement at the E-ON Company Run 2024 in Essen. Together with participants from the MENSCHEN MÖGLICHES association and our colleagues, we were almost 50 runners who took to the track for a good cause.

The anticipation for this event has been building over the last few weeks. So, right after the last meeting of the day, we put on our sports clothes and shoes and headed out the door. The journey was very short, as the starting signal was given right in front of our office in Essen. In addition to a really great route, there was a fantastic team spirit and atmosphere, both among the runners and our colleagues who voluntarily decided not to run in order to support us before and after the race at the finish line. “It made the event a special moment,” says Jan Freyik. In addition to the fun we had, however, there was a much more important issue at stake: supporting the association “MENSCHEN MÖGLICHES e.V.” (People Make Things Possible).

Our supervisory board member Tim Geldmacher established contact with MENSCHEN MÖGLICHES e.V., as Tim is also a member of the association’s executive board. Andreas Pabst and the entire COFERMIN team were immediately enthusiastic when Tim shared the idea of participating in the company run event together. Doing something for one’s health while simultaneously supporting people in difficult life situations is a win-win situation. The association supports families in which a family member is affected by serious and life-threatening illnesses. With our run, we wanted above all to support this valuable work. “A very successful company run this year. There was a really good spirit throughout, both before the start and on the course and at the finish line. The Essen company run is always a highlight every year,” says Andreas Pabst. PS: We would like to thank everyone involved. You made the day an unforgettable experience.
