Silica Fume

Silica fume is a by-product from the melting process for the production of FeSi, Si metal or fused zirconium in electric arc furnaces. It is filtered out of the flue gas and collected. Silica fume has excellent properties as a binder (pozzolan) due to its tiny particle size combined with a large specific surface area.
