Hematite, iron oxide red

Hematite (Fe2O3) is a naturally occurring, non-magnetic mineral (iron ore). It’s main use is as a auxiliary material in foundries, but is also suitable as a colorant in the glass industry. Additionally it finds application as feed ore in smelting plants, and in the production of heavy concrete.
