Another insight into our internship world

|

COFERMIN

Young talent is an asset to any company. An internship at the COFERMIN Group offers numerous facets and insights into the raw materials industry and the international business world. In short, it is an opportunity to gain initial relevant professional experience in a globally active trading company.

Our interns are quickly integrated into the diverse tasks and responsibilities of our business units and work across teams.

Luc Amenyah, 24 years old and born in France, is one of these interns at the COFERMIN Group. He is currently completing his internship in our COFERMIN Chemicals business unit, where he has the opportunity to learn about the marketing and sales of chemical products that require explanation.

Luc is about to complete his master’s degree in Management and International Trade at the Université Paris-Est Créteil. His tasks include conducting market research, establishing initial contacts with potential new customers, and passing on current market information, such as the price fluctuations currently occurring in the precious metals market.  Of course, he does not have to tackle these tasks alone. As with all of our interns, our experienced colleagues, in Luc’s case Celina Krienke in particular, are on hand to support our young talents. Luc also appreciates the opportunity to improve his German and English language skills during his internship.

“The basketball games after work have really stuck in my memory.”

In addition to Luc, we have already had good experiences with young professionals. In a previous post, we told you about Johanna, a working student who supports us in the area of ESG. She helps us to put ESG issues into practice and further develop sustainable and responsible business practices. Read for yourself.

Our goal is to provide a solid foundation for initial professional experience in a professional environment. It is important to us that our young talents deepen their existing skills and continuously learn new ones. We believe that young talents form the basis for the next generation of our employees. They are the urgently needed next generation that will enable the COFERMIN Group to continue on its successful course.
