Rutile
Rutile, containing 92 - 95% TiO2, is formed in sand and gravel sediments in various coastal regions and estuaries around the World. Due to its high colouring and opacity, rutile sand is used in the production of titanium dioxide, paints and varnishes, in the cosmetics and food industries, in various coatings, in steel production and in the welding industry.
