Iron hydroxide
Iron oxyhydroxide IMag S ABSORB Rapid is of natural origin and is produced by a wet mechanical and synthetic process, milled and homogenized. Due to the large surface area of the individual particles IMag S-ABSORB Rapid are very reactive and provide a rapid desulphurization effect. Thanks to its high purity, IMag S-ABSORB Rapid can be used as a fertilizer together with the substrate after the desulphurization process.
Iron hydroxide is often used in biogas production as an H2S absorber to remove hydrogen sulfide (H2S) from biogas. This process helps to improve the quality of the biogas, as H2S is undesirable and can have corrosive effects. Iron hydroxide reacts with H2S to form ferrous sulfide (FeS), thereby removing H2S from the biogas. This is an important step in the upgrading of biogas before it is used as a renewable energy source.
