This is because many of our employees have international experience and language skills, so misunderstandings are rare\u2014and in the best-case scenario, don\u2019t arise at all. Chrome ore sand from South Africa (Samancor Chrome, one of Africa\u2019s largest ferrochrome producers), boric acid from Chile (Quiborax, one of the leading sources of boric acid), petalite from Zimbabwe (Bikita Minerals, the world\u2019s only large-scale producer of petalite), and magnesia from Japan (UBE Material Industries) are just a few examples. This broad international presence ensures that we have alternative sources of supply and can react flexibly should bottlenecks, political restrictions, or supply shortages arise in a region. In addition to our customers, we also offer our suppliers a stable distribution network and access to relevant markets. In doing so, we assume various roles as needed\u2014trader, logistics provider, extended arm of the manufacturer, or consultant. We identify suitable raw material sources worldwide, develop and test quality standards, and secure transportation routes and delivery schedules. Even with special specifications or specific requests, we do our best to offer a suitable solution.
